I'm planning on taking a 2 week road trip around th UK with 2 other people and I'd like to stay at Bed and Breakfasts for most of the trip. It seems like, unlike the hotels I am used to in the US, the B&B rooms only have bed space for two people. Is it possible to get three travelers in a typical B&B room?
Just about every B&B I have stayed in has had "family" rooms available, usually a double bed and a twin or a double and two twins. You might have to ask each one you are considering if such a room is available.
We have traveled a lot using B+B's in Europe-love them because you actually get to talk to locals-we request a triple-usually means they add a single bed to the room-plus a bit more to the price.Of course, then you get breakfast which is great because food prices are so high compared to USA.
Yes, we have stayed in B&B's all over the UK and on some trips there was three of us and had no problems getting a room for three.
When I was looking, there were lots of rooms for 3 called "family rooms" and some are called "triple rooms". Like some one said they are alot are a double bed and a single. You would need to decided if 2 people could stand a double bed together. At many web sites, I could view what the triple or family room looked like. I noticed some had 3 single beds.
