Does anyone have a good recommendation on a hotel or B&B near the Shannon Airport? Our flight back to US leaves in the morning, and we'd like to be near by the airport. Thanks!

We stayed in a great B&B right down the road from Bunratty Castle, just minutes from the Shannon airport. It is called Dunedin Lodge and is on the Bunratty road. Actually, there are a number of B&Bs all along that road (the one that runs between Bunratty and Durty Nelly's), so you shouldn't have a problem finding one. The owner of Dunedin will be happy to tell you about the limekiln on the property, and you'll get to meet Monty, their dog.

Try the Bunratty View Guest House, within a few miles of Shannon and close to Bunratty Castle. Great owners and very comfortable and reasonable.
