My family will be going to Scotland in early october we are looking for bed and breakfast in Kilmarnock (our ancestors are from there) we need 4 rooms total if anyone can give recommendation that would be great. We are also going to stay in Edinburgh so an ideas there would be great also.

You haven't had much luck with replies so: We cannot help with a B&B in Kilmarnock but we did enjoy our stay at the Premier Inn there. They have reasonable rates, clean rooms, a friendly staff and a good breakfast. In Edinburgh we stayed at the Priestville Guest House for 3 days. Great hosts and a short walk to buses. Colin puts on a splendid breakfast and even cooked early for us one morning due to our schedule. Lots of pubs, restaurants and stores within easy walking distance (also a laundromat). Enjoy your trip!

Hi Katie, Just signed up to this blog and saw your message . I am from Kilmarnock and wondered if you managed to visit or are you still planning to ?, if the latter I know of a couple of very homely and friendly Bed and breakfast places !
