B&B in Glasgow

Has anyone had a great (or terrible) experience with a Glasgow B&B? I'm looking at Rick's GB book, and there are few recommendations for lodgings, and I'm hoping to get a few more options in the $ or $$ range. We'd like to stay nearer the Central &/or Queen Street Rail stations, as we'll be using both and primarily visiting the Cathedral and St. Mungos (then it's off to Oban).

I stayed at the Premiere Inn near George's Square. It was very convenient. It wasn't fancy or quaint, but served my purposes very well. I also stayed at the station hotel at Central RR Station. It's an interesting old place, but the breakfast wasn't very good. Pam

We stayed at the Kelvin Hotel in 2006. It was basic though a little noisy from the kitchen and revelers walking back at night. The staff was nice and did our laundry for a small fee. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g186534-d215813-Reviews-Kelvin_Hotel-Glasgow_Scotland.html It is on the side near the museum. You can walk straight down to the "town square" where the tea rooms are (sort of like a U.S. mall) We enjoyed the museum and the art school tour (a must do if you like Mackintosh furniture). There were several walkable restaurants.

We're staying at the Grand Central Hotel, which is just over the Central Rail Station. The hotel has been completely redone in the past year, and you can get pretty good rates on line.
