B&B in Cotswolds

Can anyone recommend a good B&B in the Cotswolds? We will be renting a car so location is not tied to public transportation. Thank you

Have stayed at Corsham Field Farmhouse in Stow on the Wold many times and really enjoy the location. Also, Windsor Cottage in Winchcombe is reasonable for a stand alone place to stay ( kitchen,2 bedrooms etc. ).

There are also cottages on the grounds of Sudeley Castle that you can rent also.

My wife and I have recently stayed at Corsham Field Farmhouse in Stow on the Wold. It's run well and is probably the least expensive place I came across in the Cotswolds. We liked the place and wouldn't hesitate to go back. It was run well. My only negative is that the closest place to walk to for dinner is about 1/2 a mile away. That's the Horse and Groom which is excellent so I recommend it highly. The next closest place is the Fox which is a little over a mile away. That was too far for my wife on the second night. We ate at two places in Stow - Queens Head and Kings Arms. We were not impressed with either place. This required about a 5 mile drive. I only mention this in case you'd like a pint or two or a bottle of wine with dinner. British DUI laws are pretty strict by US standards. I don't know about Canada.

We have stayed in Witney May of this year and September of last year - same B&B, the Hawthorne House. It's a basic B&B - nothing fancy, but very clean, and we had a nice twin room. The breakfasts were great. We too had a car, but it was a good location because it's a 10 minute walk into town with many restaurants and has a very nice pub across the street. We used this as our base to tour other parts of the Cotswolds.

The Old School B&B in Little Compton, just outside Moreton-in-Marsh. We've stayed there twice and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Luxurious accommodations, centrally located, hostess (Wendy) who can't do enough for you, fantastic breakfasts, walking distance to an outstanding pub/restaurant (Red Lion),.....I could go on and on. Check Tripadvisor to see what I'm talking about. Not cheap, but top-notch in every way.
