When are you going to be in Oxford? If you are there out of term time, you might want to try B&B in one of the colleges. Check out http://www.oxfordrooms.co.uk/ for availability. Keble College is very nice, although not exactly in the city centre. I also have friends who have stayed at Holywell Bed and Breakfast, which is near the city center, (http://www.holywellbedandbreakfast.com/index.htm) who really liked it.
