B & B Dublin

I am looking for some help from my fellow travellers. I am doing some research/holiday planning for my daughter and her husband. They are looking for a B & B in Dublin. Needs to be clean and have plenty of room, as my son in law is 6'6" tall. Cost around $120-$130 per night.

Try Glen Guesthouse on Gardiner St (www.glenguesthouse.com). I had a nice large room, and they advertise "power showers" -- and they are. Breakfast is included. The Glen is just a few minutes walk from O'Connell St and across the bridge from the Trinity College/Temple Bar area.

Judy,

You could also look into B&B's in Dun Laoghaire (pronounced Dun Leary). It is a quick 15 minute train ride into the center of Dublin. There are many B&B's there that are in your price range.

My wife and I spent four days in May at Ophira House. John and Cathy could not have been more accomodating. They were waiting with open arms when we arrived at 7AM. And they even let us borrow their laptop when our GPS went on the fritz! Our room would probably be too small for your son in law, but other rooms looked bigger.

Best of luck with your planning. Enjoy your trip!

We liked the Kilronan House B&B--quiet location but only a few blocks walk into the heart of Dublin. Very nice room and good breakfast. Driving in Dublin is not pleasant--a real adventure getting to the airport.
