Avoca Accomodations

We are driving from Dublin with a stop in Glendalough then on to Avoca. Looking for a B&B in or near Avoca for that night. Does anyone have a recommandation? Did get one from the search archives but that was from 3 years ago. Thanks

Hi Barbara, Although it's been years since we've been there, I would recommend Keppel's Farmhouse in Avoca. Beautiful views and lovely hosts. You can check them out on Tripadvisor. They get a good review. We also ate at the Woodenbridge Hotel restaurant. It was a very memorable meal. That being said, things change so check them out on different review boards. Hope this helps.

We stayed at the Old Coach House at Meeting of the Waters last June. The rooms are simple but have a nice view of the river and are convenient to Avoca. The breakfast was excellent.

We also stayed at Meeting of the Waters last October. It was a nice budget option and we had dinner at the pub below the B&B. Be sure to tour the mill and the tea room there is very nice and chairs were covered in the beautiful woolen patterns made right there.

Thank you for your suggestions. We tried to make reservations at several of the B&B's suggested but were not able to find the right accommodations. We did find a B&B someone suggested earlier on the Helpline. We hope to try the places recommended for lunch/dinner. Thank you,
Barbara
