My wife and I will be arriving at Heathrow airport and will be staying in London. I would like to purchase a 7 day travelcard which is only good for zones 1 and 2. Can I purchase this at Heathrow? Will the 7 day travelcard automatically give me the daysoutguide? Will I have to print out vouchers to use the daysoutguide? Thanks in advance for your help

You can purchase the travel cards at Heathrow or at any tube ticket booth in London. If you buy the cards at Heathrow, you will need to put a little cash on them to pay for your trip into London. I've not done that but I've heard it's about an 1 1/2 hours to get into London. If you are planning to take the faster train service, I'd suggest you buy the travel cards in London since the Heathrow tube stop is different from the train stop. The Heathrow Express is about 20 minutes to Paddington. The regular train is about 30 minutes for about half the cost. I can't help you with the daysoutguide or any other discounts. I think you need paper train tickets but I'm not sure. If you have time you might want to consider the London Pass. If you plan your sightseeing well, a 2 or 3 day pass can be a money saver. You will need to plan carefully and I suggest doing the math to make sure you do get savings.

You cannot buy the National Rail Travelcards at Heathrow ie the cards which entitle you to the 2 for 1 offers. You will need to go to a National Rail station and your nearest depends on where you are staying. There are 2 for 1 brochures available at the stations which have blank voucher forms in the back but there is a slight risk that they run out of stock. So it would do no harm to bring some vouchers with you. This is a duplicate posting so I have my moved my answer over here... Can I purchase this at Heathrow? Yes, at the Underground window. You will need a photo. But you can't use one bought on the Underground for the 2 for 1 offers - they need to have the Rail "crows feet" logo on them and be purchased at a national (not Heathrow Express or Heathrow Connect) train station. Will the 7 day travelcard automatically give me the daysoutguide? No. Use the Internet or pick one up at the window where you get the Travelcard, if they have any. Will I have to print out vouchers to use the daysoutguide?
Not if you picked up a brochure. You can print out from the Internet if want to, ahead of time.
