I am thinking about going to London in the week of Thanksgiving. I am concerned that stores, museumns, restaurants will be closed during Thanksgiving. Does anyone have experience regarding that?
Europe is as much affected by Thanksgiving as the US is by the Dutch Queen's Birthday. Most people over here don't even know it's a holiday in the US...
My husband and I have travled to the UK for more than 20 years. Each year we leave on Thanksgiving or the day after and stay for one week, then we do 2-3 weeks in July. The Thanksgiving trip is always wonderful. Fewer crowds. Mostly nice weather. Great shopping, and often the Christmas markets are just gearing up--- they are GREAT fun! Nothing closes over there- Thanksgiving is an American holiday. Enjoy!!!!!!!!
