I'll be spending a week in London later this year and would like to find either a studio or one bedroom apartment. It would be much easier to cook my own meals, or even bring in take-away than have to go to restaurants. (I have lots of food restrictions.) Apartment should have cable TV and if possible, wi-fi. Also semi-convenient to a tube station as I'll be taking trains out of town from three different stations. I like the South Kensingtion and vicinity area but I'm open to others. Not too expensive. Thanks.

Great apartments! Nearby to grocery stores, banks, Internet cafes, restaurants, pubs and the Earl's Court Tube station.
We'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Cooked dinners in the apt and had breakfast in.
Went to the local Tesco or Marks and Sparks grocery store each morning and grabbed picnic lunch stuff and bottled water before heading out on the tube.
Since we stayed 7 days, the apartment management gave us free shuttle transportation to Heathrow when we left.
