Anybody who will be awake early in London tomorrow?

If anybody is awake early tomorrow (6th November 2011) will you join us in the crowd? The 115th annual Veteran Car Run from Hyde Park to Brighton is tomorrow early - 7am - going through London from Hyde Park, down Constitution Hill, past the Palace, down Birdcage Walk and over Westminster Bridge onto the A23 for Brighton. There will be over 500 pre-1905 cars stuttering, gasping, and whirring over the route which is still open to normal traffic. Expect a few steam cars and cars which you wouldn't recognize as cars doing the Run. Its great fun and we will probably position ourselves somewhere along Birdcage Walk for the off, and then shoot down to Nymans in Sussex to see them all again. If interested have a look at the map and information at http://www.veterancarrun.com/downloads/2011-downloads/Spectate%20-%20Document%20Downloads/Wheretowatch.pdf

Wound up standing right at the campaign memorials at the top of Constitution Hill, having arrived at 6:45, and got video of all 550 or so cars which started. Seeing them with their live fire lamps a-burning at dawn was magical. So was seeing the steam cars all aglow and fizz. After they passed and we had a coffee at the Pret-a-Manger across the main road we rode down the A23 with them as far a Crawley. It was seriously cool.
