We need to get from downtown London to Southampton to catch a cruise after 5 days in London. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this? Thank you so much, mardi

There are direct trains from London Waterloo every half hour on a weekday. Journey time about 1hr and15 minutes.

I would purchase you ticket as soon as you can it will cost more if you wait till the day you travel. Also, some trains you would have to change trains once, so ask for a direct train so you won't have to change.

Check out the cost of 2 rail fares from London to S'hampton plus a taxi from there to the cruise dock, plus possibly a taxi from your hotel in London to Waterloo Station. Then contact london-transfers.com and ask Ray skinner what he would charge to pick you up at your hotel and deliver you to the dock. It may be well worth the extra few pounds. It has been to us on a couple of occasions.
