Does anyone know of any toy/doll museum other than Pollocks and the V&A in London? Is Pollocks worth a visit?
I went to Pollocks about 6 years ago. It's quite small but very atmospheric! I would say it's worth it, especially if there's something else you want to do in the area because it won't take that long to go round it, maybe an hour. It's in a really old building.
If you go to Windsor, there is a nice doll house exhibit. It was made for the Queen Mother (I think) by craftmen all over the UK. Everything is authentic, down to the wine in the miniture wine bottles.
The V & A toy collection is mainly outstationed to the Bethnal Green Museum of Childhood (from central London go by bus, Central Line underground, or suburban train from Liverpool Street station).
