Any Knights Templar buffs out there?

I am going to Paris in September and have booked some tickets on the Eurostar for a 1 day excursion to London. My husband has always been fascinated by the history of the Knights Templar, and I would like to do some research on interesting places to visit within London that factor into the Templar history. The thing is, I'm surprising my husband and not telling him we're going until we get to the train station. (How I'm going to keep this a secret until then, I have NO IDEA.)

I know Temple Church is a must-see, so I have done my research on that, but are there any other places you would suggest?

Thank you!

A warning about the Temple Church---it isn't open a lot. Walk by there at the beginning of your trip and check exactly when or if it will be open that day so you can plan around that. It is also a bit difficult to locate---print a really good map to find it. It's tucked down pedestrian lanes near the Inns of Court.

I need to echo the comment about Temple Church. We had to go back twice before it was open and then a man working in a hotel several blocks away led us there. He said it was hard to find "so I'll just take you". So incredibly gracious. It was worth the visit (for us).
