Any experience with Vancouver Studios - Bayswater, London

Hi, I am in the midst of planning our delayed Honeymoon (just married on January 5, 2013) for the last two weeks of November this year. We've decided on returning to Rome for 7 nights (to hit up the places we missed) and end with 7 nights in London. This will be my third trip to the UK (last trip 2002) but Michael's first so I'm keeping it in London and simple. Has anyone been to the Vancouver Studios? What are your thoughts, opinions, good reports, bad reports, etc... We were debating on renting a flat or doing a b&b and this place seems perfect. Were choosing between their studio with a balconey or their one bedroom apartments... Any comments, thoughts, etc... would be very much appreciated!! Thank you everyone!!!

Have stayed there three times over the years. No problems. Pleasant staff. Safe. Clean. Quiet. Nice pub a block and a half away. Vibrant neighborhood with shops and cafes. Easy stroll to Hyde Park. Kitchenette a nice touch. Pack light. Stairs are steep. Have not stayed in either of the type of accommodations you're referencing though.

Claudia, THANK YOU! On their site they reference a LARGER double room with a terrace and their new (1 &2 bedroom apartments) NOT located there but a block away! I wrote them and asked for more pics as they don't have many on their site....they sent me lots and have been super nice pics...I'm having a hard time finding any scary-ness, lol!!! Appreciate your response, etc... xoxoxoxoxoxooxoxoxo!!

Hi Bethanne. I stayed there in September last year in a single room. I'd stay there again and definitely recommend them! The staff is very helpful and the main hotel is a 5- and 10-minute walk from 2 Tube stops, which is really convenient. To echo Claudia, the hotel is very close to a neat multi-ethnic neighborhood of shops, restaurants, grocery stores, banks, etc.

Thank you Sarah! I've been debating between their apartments and studios or some of the other recommended places on here and in Rick's book but I keep coming back to their apartments. They are located a couple blocks from the studios but I'm thinking after a week in Rome in a b&b (confined to one room), we'll enjoy all the space that the apartments have to offer. It is our honeymoon so I'm willing to splurge a little, lol! Again, I appreciate both of your responses!
