Hello, I'm looking to book a self catering rental in western Ireland. Has anyone had any dealings with imagineireland.com they seem to have exactly what I'm looking for and at very reasonable rates, especially several two weeks for the price of one deals. The old saying about if it seems too good to be true.... just looking for some feedback. most of the sites that I've been directed to are way to luxurious i.e. expensive

I can tell you what worked for us. First, I read lots of reviews and researched thoroughly. Then I booked 7 different accommodations (3 hostels, 2 B&Bs, 2 hotels) through a combination of goireland.com, hostelworld.com and directly with places I found through those sites. (most sites charge a small booking fee, some places don't have online booking, etc) Everything was better than expected, no problems at all.
I looked at the imagine ireland site and the first thing I noticed is its not based in Ireland. Also, it was giving me prices in British sterling pounds by default, so make sure you compare euros to euros. Check www.goireland.com, I found some very reasonable self-catering listings in Doolin. Also, contact owners directly if you have questions and always ask about discounts even if they are not advertised. Make sure you find out if they supply linens, etc, and also if you must pay for utilities (common for self-catering).

I haven't used them, but it looks like a good deal to me. While it's true that they are based in the UK, not Ireland, they are registered and insured. And if you click on the Irish flag instead of the British one, you'll get prices in euros instead of pounds.

We booked with them and they were great!! We travelled throughout Ireland and organised 3 cottages through them. One in Dingle, one in Connemara and one in Donegal.
