Need an airport hotel in Edinburgh (very early departure so don't want to go back into the city following our return from the north). Hilton is full. Others, preferably on route in from direction of St. andrews?

I also stayed at the airport Quality Inn hotel last year. It was fine, and right next to the airport. It is not a hotel with character but for a one night stay it was fine. I remember that our rate had breakfast included and it was quite a hearty full English style breakfast. There was a public bus route from the airport directly to the downtown area of the city. We only stayed at the hotel to sleep. There is not much close by. We saw lots of tour groups of golfers in the lobby.

It really isn't that far from the city centre, particularly if you are leaving before 6 AM. ; ) I've stayed near Waverly and gotten a taxi out to the airport in time for a 7 AM flight. My B&B even gave me a breakfast to go bag. Pam
