Is this par for the course or a rip off? I was confirmed on a flight and got changed to a flight leaving later. That happens I know. The plane is full I must change. But, for a fee (oh my) they now have a sit for me on the original flight.

Don't understand the question if there is a question there. It is not uncommon when booking flight far in advance to have the flight changed or in our case (one time) actually canceled. If it is a significant change the airline should allow you to make changes without a penalty if done in a reasonable time.

I guess there really wasn't a question. It just upset me that the time changed and they wanted to charge a fee to put me back on my first flight. All is well and we leave for London in five weeks. Thanks for your thoughts.

Still not understanding the problem. If the time of the flight changed, that is not uncommon. But are you saying that they moved you from one flight to another flight that goes at a different time? That is very uncommon unless you are doing something with a tour.

Are you using airline miles for this trip? I've had that kind of change happen when using miles. You're kinda at the mercy of the airline when using miles.
