Airfare prices to Shannon

Has anyone booked a flight in and out of Shannon lately? I'm trying to book my flights but prices are about $700 for roundtrip. Is this normal or do you think they will fall the closer it gets to September?

I know it's a roll of the dice but just wanted some opinions.

Thanks!!

Tracey,

Airlines are focusing on Spring and some early Summer sales right now. You most likely won't see Fall sales until June or July. I would hold off until then if you are comfortable. We are seeing some great fares to Ireland for Spring so the same may be true for Fall if the recession continues.

Tracey,
Try aer lingus. They "had" a special that ended March 27 (wish I read this earlier to help you).

If you're flexible, I'd suggest flying into London. From London take a domestic carrier like Ryanair or Aer Lingus to Shannon.

That could save you $300 right there!

You can also try www.kayak.com and see what they find for you.

Right now Continental has tickets in and out for $580 including tax so I think that might be a pretty good deal.

Hi. I got a flight out of Dublin for less than $500 on Continental flying out of Miami with only weekday flights.
You could always book that flight and then take a train to western Ireland as am doing. Plus you see more sites that way. Just a thought..
