Anyone know of any website that offers cheaper airfare for my parents traveling to Ireland July 2012? Wow, about $1000 to $1200 roundtrip per person!? Thank you!

That sounds about right for peak summer travel. Sign up for fare alerts on websites like Kayak and start monitoring. Also sign up for low fare alerts from Aer Lingus (they fly direct NY to Shannon), you might get lucky with a sale.

Hi Kathleen I just had a client that booked 4 tickets to Ireland for July. Maybe your parents will run into my clients. Unfortunately, that is the fare these days for summer trips to Ireland. Perhaps they could move the trip to the shoulder of the season when the fares are better. Or if you have miles with any of the airlines you might be able to do a miles plus money. Or lastly some credit cards have points that can be used for airfare discounts you might be able to get a break if you've been saving up the points. ??? I know it's not much help. Sorry and good luck!
