Is air conditioning recommended for end of July in Copenhagen?? We are looking at Hotel Strand as central location for 3 nights but as no a/c we have concerns. Would appreciate any help (we are seniors !!!)
Steve the average temp in July for Copenhagen is about 69 f , or 20 celsuis degrees in other words not hot . Your concerns overblown. Take a rain jacket .
I booked the Strand for the end of July in 2010. It seems like a great place. I say seems because they were overbooked when we arrived so they sent us to the Phoenix (a sister hotel) instead. The Phoenix is one star higher but also no AC. The only worry I'd have is your window catching a lot of sun during the day while you are out. If your room window faces the sun, leave the curtains closed so your room isn't overly warm when you get home. Once evening hits, your room will cool down quickly with an open window.
