Advice for western Ireland

I will be doing a self-drive visit to Ireland late March/early April. I want to visit Burren and a bit of Connemara and (weather permitting) the Aran Isles. Is there a town that would make a good base for all three areas or should I plan on staying in different locations. I won't have more than about 3 days for this part of my trip.

Galway would be the most logical base for your plans. The Burren and the Cliffs of Moher will be southwest of there, and Connemara is to the northwest. You can catch a ferry to the Aran Islands from Rossaveal or from Galway or Doolin, weather permitting.

Any recommendations for places to stay in Galway? I will need a car park for my rental car and would like to avoid being on too narrow a street but walking distance to cafes, etc.

Tamara, We stayed at Griffin Lodge, an easy 5 minute walk to all downtown pubs, shops, restaurants etc. They will also help you book a trip to Aran Isles....we chose to fly and picked up the shuttle bus to the airport from a downtown hostel...10 minute walk. We parked our car at the B&B, and it didn't move for 3 days. Good price, great breakfast, clean room, and Ann was very friendly and helpful during our stay in Galway. D.

Thanks Daniel. Griffin Lodge has very good reviews on Trip Advisor so I'll contact them once I know my dates.
