Advance Single Rail Tickets in UK

Any ideas why there are no Advance Single rail tickets available on any late May or June rail trips? I am able to see them/purchase for April and early/mid May, but can't after that. I don't know if they have all sold out or there are none available in June. Any ideas?

We are taking train from London to Bath, Bath to York, and York to Edinburgh in late June and early July with Family and using a Family Rail card. When I priced those trips using early May dates it was 100 pounds or so. Now using dates in June it is about 350 pounds and there are no advance singles (which is why price went up).

Generally speaking, you can buy open tickets up to a year in advance. However, the cheaper tickets for a specific train can only be bought twelve weeks in advance, since there could be timetable changes because of engineering work or for other reasons.

Wait until nearer the day of your journey. There is little chance that tickets will be sold out as there are frequent trains on these routes, and most local people will not firm up their plans until a week or two beforehand.
