Can anyone give a recommendation for a B&B in Shannon? Would prefer something with some character, vs. a hotel. Thanks!

Does it have to be in Shannon town, or do you want something close to the airport? Along the Bunratty road, just behind the castle, are a number of B&Bs. We stayed at Dunedin Lodge, which has the original lime kiln for the castle on its grounds. The house next door to that to the north (not sure of the name) is one that my parents stayed in on another trip, and they liked that one, too. (I could probably get the name from them, if you are interested, but there are a number of them along that road.) Bunratty is closer to the airport than Shannon itself - about six miles out.
