Accommodation in Portree, Isle of Skye

Any suggestions for a good B&B with views? We'll need a single and a double room and will be on Skye for 2-3 days in September.

We reserved Ben Tianavaig in Portree for this June. It is right in the town and is supposed to have good views of the harbor. It has good reviews on tripadvisor also. The last time we visited Skye we stayed at Flodigarry Hotel which had lovely views.

I've stayed at the Rosedale Hotel twice. It's more like a small hotel than a B&B, but we really liked it. You do get a nice breakfast. They serve dinner as well, but it costs extra and is a little pricey, so we didn't try it. Not all the rooms have views, but if you can get one with a view of the water, it's wonderful.

Yes, the Ben Tianavaig is wonderful and right on Portree's harbor. Next to good restaurants and pubs (try the Merchant Bar). Gill and David are superb hosts - simply great people.

(Looks like it changed hands in the last 18 months, but is still getting stellar reviews on tripadvisor.)

If you are a hiker Skye is heaven. If you want more info on that please contact me.
