Does anyone have any recommendations for places to stay around Aberdeen? We're planning a couple of days to see gardens and visit friends, and we'll be there toward the end of June.

I checked the place we stayed and they aren't working there anymore, but I'd suggest that if you have friends in the area, ask them to check out a few. We spent 1 week in that area and it was far from enough! My favorite is the Crathes Castle Garden for the fountain that tilts and Castle Fraiser's plot of "Scotland's National Flower" (thistle) 7+ feet talk. Have a lovely time!

Thanks for the suggestions. The friends we're visiting are there temporarily, so we're sort of on our own! I'll check out the Crathes Castle Gardens, though. Sounds wonderful.
