I will be traveling to Scotland in September. We would like to stay in the Stirling area for 2 nights. Would that be enough time to see everything in that area, and possibly Loch Lamond also? Also, any suggestions on a nice B&B or inn?

Tina, We stayed at this Castle which is a self catering and loved it.
http://www.scottscastles.com/scotland/central/castle-apartment-101.html It's in the country between Stirling and Edinburgh so a car is needed. It's not an Inn or B&B so it might not be what you are looking for, but we found it to be amazing. The castle has been converted to holiday apartments, each are individually owned. We stayed in apartment #5 which is shown in the link provided above. Don

This may not be what you are looking for but we stayed at the Holiday Express in Stirling. It is near the Wallace Monument and about 1 Mile for Stirling city centre. It is on a main road with easy access to the M9. It says it is about 15 miles to Loch Lomond. We needed a change of pace from B & B's on that particular trip. It worked out okay.

I've been trying to remember where I stayed a few years ago. I think it was the Terraces Hotel. It was conveniently located and had parking. It also had a restaurant that was good. Pam

2 years ago, we stayed at Burns View Guest House. http://www.burnsview-guesthouse.com/ Very nice place. And easy walking distance from the train station.
