We will be turning in our rental car at Oxford and then hopping the train into London. Is there a place to check and leave you luggage for a couple of hours so we can tour Oxford?

Accordng to the National Rail website for Oxford Station, there are no faclities for checkng luggage
(left luggage). Perhaps the car rental people would hold it for you? I would NOT consider drivng around Oxford and planning to park somewhere as it is next to impossible to park in Oxford. Also if you did find a parking spot, you would have to be concerned about theft of your luggage. So I would recommend a quick drive around town which usually is very crowded with locals, vistors and shoppers. I first visited Oxford over 40 years ago and you could not park then eiher and it has only gotten worse over the years, as have the crowds, casual crime, etc.
I use Oxford Station all the time and it is very up-to-date wth food faclities, etc. but I never needed to leave luggage there. The station, by the way, is a short walk from the center of Oxford.
