I am going to be working in Europe for two weeks this summer (Poland and Germany) and will have 4 days to myself. I will be traveling alone. I want to go to a safe place that has a pebbly beach where I can search for sea glass. It should be near an airport so I don't waste too much time on travel. I am most interested in the UK. Can anyone help me find the perfect place?

A pebble beach that is easy to reach from London is at Brighton. Many (most?)of the beaches on the North Kent coast are pebbly. One of the most atmospheric is at Dungeness.

I'd second Brighton. It's a relatively short train ride from London and a lovely place to visit.
