In terms of scheduled transportation your main options are: Stansted Express train from Liverpool Street station in central London. Trains run every 15 minutes and take around 45. Immediate fares are £22.50 single and £29.50 return. These trains can occasionally be disrupted by construction work at the weekend. If you are staying in the West End of London, it may be more convenient to take the Victoria Line underground train to Tottenham Hale in the suburbs, where the Stansted Express calls to make that connection. Personally I much prefer to travel by train from central London to airports as there is less chance of delay, but the cheaper fares may sway you if you have more time.
