I'd take a rain poncho and a small folding umbrella, and layer. Also a second pair of shoes to wear while the first pair dries.

Plan on layered clothing. Last time we were in Ireland (in late May) it was cold and rainy and we had very light weight clothing. Take a sweater or sweat shirt and a rain proof jacket. The weather is absolutely unpredictable in Ireland so go prepared.
