We are traveling to Ireland in January. Flying in and out of Dublin so we have 6 days to spend in the countryside. We have B&B vouchers and a car. Planning to visit Counties Kilkenny, Cork, and Clare. Is this too ambitious?
Not too ambitious at all Tawnya, no problem (normally) doing that trip in 6 days. I say normally because you are picking the riskiest time possible time from a weather point of view. We had very severe weather (for Ireland) last January, heavy snow which lay on the ground for ages, making travelling and touring very very difficult. It was unusually bad weather for us so hopefully you will be fine this time but January is our most inhospitable month. There may also be question marks around some of the attractions being open in January, worth checking out in advance. Enjoy!
