10 days in Ireland

We fly inot Dublin about 9am. We plan to go sightseeing that day, stay in Dublin o'night then drive to Kenmare/Killarney the next day. As it is too far to drive in one day where should we stay? We want 4 days in Kerry to see Dingle Ring of Kerry Connor Pass etc. We then need to drive back to Dublin to catch the ferry to Wales so we will need another night in Dublin. I would like to see the Waterford factory and Avoca on the way (I'm a mad Ballykissangle fan). Any suggestion for the 3 nights on the return journey

You might look at www.viamichelin.com to play with routing. It will give you a good idea of how far one area is from another (add about 25% to their projected driving times to get a more accurate picture). You can look at the suggested routes between, say, Kenmare and Dublin and adjust it to go through Waterford and Avoca. You can also see what towns are in your path, in case you want to stop along the way. On another note, you know that the Waterford factory that is open now is not the original, historical one, right? The original factory was closed several years ago. The workshop (a much smaller version) and showroom are open in a different location. Avoca is a cute little town, and you can visit Avoca Woollen Mill while you are there. It is the oldest woollen mill in Ireland, and you can walk around in the mill and take pictures as they work.
