Looking for suggestions for an apartment for 2 in Les Marias in Paris and a self catering gite in Normandy. Would like to be near the D Day beaches.

I can only give you a rec on Marais: http://www.vrbo.com/49273 . To me (le Marais that is), it's the best place in Paris to make a home base. I've stayed at a few other larger places (bigger group) and flats in other arrondissements but this place was probably my favorite and best value. The owner was great and the markets next door were fantastic. If it's just me and the husband next trip, I will return here. Have a good time!

We stayed at www.bandbnormandie.com just outside Villers-Bocage. It's about 12 miles from Bayeux and another maybe 10 miles to the D Day beaches. We plan to stay there again on our next trip to Normandy.
