What is best/most economical way to get from Dublin to Edinburgh? Plan to spend 1 week in Ireland/N. Ireland, then second week in Scotland, flying into Dublin and out of Edinburgh (or the reverse) on a driving vacation? Returning car in second country is cost prohibitive.

You should look into flights from Dublin to Edinburgh or Glasgow. You can pick up a car in either location. You won't want a car during stay in Edinburgh, so plan your time accordingly with Edinburgh on the beginning or the end of your trip. There are ferries, but I suspect that it really would be better to just fly. Pam
