I am looking at maybe doing the Sognefjord in a Nutshell. I am looking at booking this before I leave the states. In Rick's book it gives a website, www.fjordtours.no, however I will be purchasing a global pass as well. On the website it only gives you an option to depart from Bergen or Oslo but if I have a global pass I will only need the Myrdal-Flam-Balestrand-Midtfjord-Gudvangen portion of the ticket. Any suggestion?

Hello Tiffany. I suggest : communicate to the Tourist Information office at Bergen. They can talk in the English Language. The train from Myrdal to Flam is operated by a different railway business. For the trip from Flam to Balestrand (on the Fjord) I think you will want to be in a Fast boat. (it is likely to be a small boat). Say to a person in the Tourist information office at Bergen : you want to do all of that, at the lowest possible expense. In what month of the year will you do the travel in Norway ? Will you start at Bergen ? or Oslo ?
