Is Dun Laoghaire a good place to stay? We'll be arriving by ferry, have only a few days, will spend some time in Dublin but DL looks interesting. Can anyone recommend a B&B and things to do?

Dun Laoghaire is an interesting place, but make no doubt, it is part of greater Dublin. You can grab a DART train and be to City Centre in 15 to 20 mins. Very scenic ride too as you hug the coastline. I lived there for 3 months at one point and can say you can probably do everything there is to do there in an afternoon. It is a good base though.

I also like DL. We stayed at Windsor House. Very nice place with charming hostess. Getting into Dublin is easy.Dart Stations are nearby. If you are flying out of Dublin take the double deck bus to the airport. Its a neat ride.

we stayed in DL, saved us lots of $. great bus service nice town and freindly locals.
