We will be flying into London Gatwick and then leaving from I believe London Waterloo to take the Eurostar to Pais. Can someone tell me how far and the fastest way to the train staion from the airport is?

You should take the Gatwick Express (www.gatwickexpress.com) train from the airport to Victoria Station in London. If your not lugging a lot of luggage and just have backpacks you can walk from Victoria to Waterloo. Its a great walk that takes you past Buckingham Palace, Westminster Cathedral, Big Ben, and over the Thames to the London Eye. Waterloo is a block away from the Eye. Otherwise you can take a taxi, or the underground. Hopefully you will have some time to walk around before you catch the Eurostar to Paris; both stations have left luggage facilities. Victoria and Waterloo are right in the middle of the London's top attractions.

There are several routes with a varying number of changes. Here is the simplest--with frequent service. Take a First Capital Connect train from Gatwick to London Bridge. Walk to the other side of the platform and take a Southern train to Waterloo East. Take the connecting walkway to Waterloo International. Time: 1 hour. Fare: 10.60 GBP.
