I am going to a seminar at Cambridge University. I fly into Heathrow. What is the best way to get to Cambridge? I could go by Heathrow Express to Paddington Station (I think) but then what train to Cambridge? Any suggestions?
Trains from London to Cambridge depart from King's Cross, not Liverpool Street. Depending upon how many stops your particular train makes, the trip will take 45-62 minutes.
Take the Piccadilly Line directly from LHR to King's Cross/St Pancras. The trip will take just under an hour.
The National Express Coach from LHR is the easiest and least stressful way to get there.
An when is the seminar....
Thanks for the responses. It seems the best way is to take the coach directly from LHR and not worry about getting on the right train.
Question: How do I know which LHR terminal I will land?
Question: Can I get a ticket when I arrive or do I need to get one ahead if time?
Thanks for the help
What airline are you flying and from where?
