4 days in Ireland

I am traveling with my 18 year old daughter, and my sister in late June. We will spend the bulk of our trip in England, but we have 4 days in Ireland. I was there (in Dublin only) 4 years ago, but my sis and daughter haven't been. We plan to spend at least one night in Dublin but and would like to travel down to Cork (roots) by car. Any ideas on lodging (mid to upper range)and best stopping points? We will likely fly into Dublin, but possibly out of Shannon if it makes sense.

Cork is only about a 3.5 hour drive from Dublin if you drove straight there. There are any number of ways to route it, and things to see along the way, so it's hard to suggest stopping points since we don't know what you intend to do along the way. And since you only mention Dublin-Cork, Shannon doesn't make sense unless there are things out that way that you want to see as well. Fill us in a little on your plans and we'll be happy to help.
