I will be traveling to Dublin for the first time and have only four days. I would love to see one other place besides Dublin that wouldn't be too far and eat up a whole day getting there and another day getting back. One long day trip someplace would be nice. Any suggestions?

The "standard" suggestions for day trips from Dublin are Glendalough (a monastic settlement with hiking trails to the lake) in the Wicklow Mountains, and Newgrange (Bru na Boinne), Neolithic passage tomb in the Boyne River valley. You can get half or whole day tours to both areas. Glendalough usually includes a visit to Powerscourt house and gardens, and Newgrange usually includes the Hill of Tara and the Boyne River valley area.
