3 full days in Edinburgh - does this sound ok?

Hello all :)

I am in EDI for 3 nights and this is an idea of what I have in mind for a rough itinerary and I would like to know if this sounds ok :)

Day 1 - 1/2 day
Check into hostel and then I am thinking about using the afternoon to do a Sandeman's free walking tour to get my bearings and to see a bit of what is going on.

Day 2 - full day
I was thinking of taking my time going around on a hop on hop off tour so that i can explore but go to museums, etc as well.

Day 3 - full day - I have booked in a day tour of Scotland, this is the tour HERE

Day 4 - 1/2 day
I was thinking of possibly going out to fisit Rosslyn Chapel, but I'm not too sure yet.

I will be leaving london on the 8th September and I will leave EDI on the 11th September.

Any comments, suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

Given your short time there, I think that looks like a reasonable schedule. I wonder about moving the day tour to day 2? Are you flying out on Day 4? If so, having your hop on hop off tour of Edinburgh on Day 3 might be more flexible since some of those day tours get back pretty late.

take a few hours and take the local bus south to see Rosslyn Chapel...it is Great

I am catching the train up from London at 6.15am on the 8th and then leaving Edinburgh at 11.30am on the 11th.
