24hrs in Dublin?

Hello, we only have 24hrs in Dublin as we are then flying to the west, we arrive at 9.00 am and leave the next morning at the same time.. Can anyone suggest the must do's so that we take in the major attractions efficiently.. I have been reading all the topics on here and they have been very very helpful on our planning, so i am really looking forward to your thoughts. kind regards

Tarn: I think the hop-on / hop-off bus would be a great way to maximize your one day in Dublin. Try this link: http://194.106.151.179/sightseeing/index.aspx

Sites they hit that I would consider "must see's" inlcude Trinity College / Book of Kells; Dublin Castle; Temple Bar district; Christchurch; St. Patrick's Cathedral; Kilmainham Jail; and a number of museums and galleries.

I agree with the hop-on,hop-off bus as a good introduction to Dublin. The guides on the buses have stories to tell (and songs to sing!) about the sites that you pass. Once you get an overview, you can hop off at any point for a closer look, then get back on the next one.
