2 or 3 nights in Dingle?

Are 2 nights enough in Dingle if I am traveling solo? I don't like to rush and do want to do the peninsula tour. Thanks!

If you can get to Dingle early enough on your first day to be able to spend the evening in a pub that has traditional music sessions, then two nights is OK. (After hearing music on the first evening, you'll be eager for more on the second.) However, if you have the time, three nights would be better, giving you more time to explore during each of two full days.

Thanks Dale and for the earlier tip about the direct bus from the airport. It would work b/c I am dropping off my bag at left luggage at the airport. I just have to look at how long that would be. Probably adds an hour, I suppose, but perhaps in the end, w/ changing to a train it would be all the same. Thanks again!

I agree with Tim that an extra night is better than not. That said, you can certainly drive the Dingle loop in a single day. It takes maybe a half day to drive at a leisurely pace, but can easily require more time depending on how often and for how long you want to stop along the way. This assumes you get an early start (which means one night at/near Dingle the previous night).

The DP is spectacular, so if you are able to spend more time there, do so. Be sure to drive the "extra" loop around Slea Head. You haven't really done the Dingle unless you include that.

Enjoy your trip!
