2% International Fee on Credit Cards Any others than Capital One??

Hello. I was declined on Capital One as Experian incorrectly entered someone elses social security number on
my credit report. Now, even though everything is corrected due to Experians screw up, they say I have to wait 90 days to re-apply. By then, I will be back from Europe. Are there
any other credit card companies who do not charge the 2% fee so I can hurry up and apply and get my card in the next 2 weeks? Thank you so much for your suggestions!!

There is a credit union called Patelco out here that charges 1% and then you et 1% cash back. Also, I think Clark Howard has mentioned Pentagon Federal Credit union...I have a CD there, but not a credit card. Not sure of some of the online banks...HSB etc.

Good luck. Watch the ATM charges as well.

USAA FSB charges 1%. I have their World Mastercard - no fee, low interest (I never pay anything as I pay it off every month), 1% cash back.

My Alaska Airlines BofA visa charges only 1%. Not sure if it is on all BofA Visa's or just the Alaska Airlines.

Good luck!

Check with your local credit union. Mastercard charges less than Visa.

I also heard Schwab.com offers a no fee, but I think that's on debit card, not credit.

I found your post to be very interesting because I too was declined a Capital One card. They said Experian reported that I had too many outstanding accounts but when I checked my credit report, all of my accounts are in good standing (by Experian's own report). I have just turned in the credit report to prove to Capital One my excellent credit record. I had only applied for this card due to the posts that talked about Capital One's 0% fee. Good grief. Hope to hear from them soon.

The wall at journal just had an article may 12 on this. Page d2 . Said schwab had no fee . There are other cards that have a fee but also have a cash back option that makes it net to 0. Pentagon fed credit union and patelco are 2. Also try flyerguide.com
