I will be leaving Shrewsbury,England on the 15th of July and would like some advice on which nearby towns I should visit over the next two days before I have to head back home (US). Or should I just go to Scotland? :) I spend 3 days in Edinburgh in '05 so would like to see something new.

I will list some sites we have enjoyed between the Welsh borders down to the south coast and heading east towards London. After you google them to see if they interest you, you can check a map to see the best way to arrange your choices: Kenilworth Castle and Warwick Castle, Wells Cathedral and Glastonbury Abbey, Corfe Castle and Maidenhead Castle (earth fort), Avebury and Stonehenge, Salisbury and Winchester Cathedrals with Montisfont Abbey about half way between them. By the way, if you are visiting Shrewsbury, do read some of the Brother Cadfael mysteries. The Leper of St. Giles is especially good...
