My husband and I are traveling to Ireland for a couple of weeks. While there, we would like to catch a play at Abbey Theatre; however, we would also like to pack light and do not wish to bring an extra outfit simply for one night. Has anyone been to the theatre before in Dublin, and what is the appropriate dress?

Don't know about the Dublin theatre, but we have been to the London theatres a great deal. I pack a pair of black cotton blend pants and a black t shirt and a 'big shirt' that I can use as a blazer. Sometimes I add a scarf. My husband packs a dark pair of dockers and a button up "jean" shirt or a very nice polo. We fit right in.
