guide books

We are visiting England, Scotland and Wales in areas that Rick doesn't cover. Any suggestions on guidebooks that cover things to see, places to stay and eat?

Michelin (Green Guides) are available for: Scotland and Great Britain and the G.B. one covers Wales as well as England. Unlike Rick's books, which are intended to be selective, the Michelin guidebooks are comprehensive, listing all destinations.

I've used the FootPrint Guides and found them quite helpful. They include a lot of places. They have a separate one for the highlands as well as the Scotland version. It doesn't look like they have done Wales though...

I like the Michelin guides, too. There's even a section in the back where they list opening and closing times and admissions prices of various attractions, which I found really handy.

I've enjoyed the Lonely Planet guidebooks.
