Already tried VRBO, Home Away, Holiday Lettings, Flip Key, etc. to find a flat and run into no availability, no response & bait and switch scams. Any suggestions of other options to try to find a flat for a 13 day stay in London in the beginning of July for 3 people? Not looking for cheap, but don't want to break the bank.

Check out the London School of Economics. They rent rooms and apartments to non-students- especially in the summer. They have several locations- you get ensuite, kitchen or kitchenett, and access to student facilities like the laundry room. http://www.lsevacations.co.uk/

Try "smoothhound.com" I have used them and found it great. I just looked it up prior to posting and did find some 2 bedroom apartments with full kitchen, living room. We have also used "latestays.com" and found them GREAT. $100 dollar 2 bedroom apartment in Edinburgh with free transport to town and also used for Barcelona. With Edinburgh, they had on-site 24 manager, with Barcelona they did not and of course we had a problem with the apartment above us, think they were playing soccer in the apartment and we had no one to turn to for help but other than that it was great. Try them both and good luck.
